A protein comprising a single peptide tract or a combination of three intracytoplasmic tracts of the C-terminal domain of the alpha subunit of the Na+, K+-ATPas. Its use is also indicated for inhibiting the transactivation of the HIV-1 Tat protein, inhibiting HIV-1 replication and treating HIV-1 infection and related diseases.
