Every year, the Scuola Normale Superiore is involved in organizing the Start Cup Toscana, a competition for entrepreneurial ideas originating from the world of research. This competition is organized by all the universities and schools in Tuscany and serves as the regional phase of the National Innovation Prize.
The Scuola Normale Superiore is one of the partner institutions of the Contamination Lab (CLab), a project co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) with the aim of creating a physical and virtual space for the exchange and cross-fertilization of knowledge. The goal is to train students and research personnel in entrepreneurial culture.
The Scuola Normale Superiore is engaged in European network projects, particularly in the EELISA UNFOLDS project (UNlocking Full innOvation capacity buiLDing and entrepreneurShip). This initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship among PhD students through collaboration with a network of European universities. The Scuola Normale organizes training activities on innovation, selection events for spin-offs and start-ups within the partnership, aimed at receiving mentorship, training, and awards.
