Applications are now open for the 5th edition of the EELISA Prototype Contest, an initiative promoted by the EELISA alliance aimed at startups and researchers from all network institutions and affiliated incubators.

The call offers up to 25 selected participants the opportunity to attend an intensive four-day co-creation workshop (EELISA Co-Creation Workshop) from 8 to 11 December 2026 at JOSEPHS – The Open Innovation Lab in Nuremberg, Germany. The event will culminate in the contest final, where participants will set up their own dedicated test space to showcase their prototypes, gather immediate feedback from users and visitors, and compete for the final award.

Application Deadline: 1 November 2026.

Cost Coverage: participation costs for the workshop will be covered by EELISA at FAU with support from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). Travel expenses to Nuremberg and subsistence costs outside workshop activities will be covered either by the participants or through support from the local EELISA Office.
