Registration is now open for “The Research Lifecycle: From FAIR Data to Impact”, the new transversal training program for PhD students at the Scuola Normale Superiore. An evolution of the previous “Open Science” and “SNS 5.0” programs, the course offers a comprehensive overview of the entire research lifecycle: from data management according to FAIR principles to the valorization of intellectual property and the creation of social impact.
Program Structure
The course is divided into four 6-hour modules, designed to guide participants through a progressive learning path:
- Module 1 (June 8) Open Access, Open Science e impatto sociale
- Module 2 (June 9-12) Research Data Management: i principi FAIR e la pratica della condivisione
- Module 3 (June 18) Protezione e valorizzazione: la proprietĂ intellettuale
- Module 4 (June 26) Dalla ricerca all’impatto: strumenti e prospettive

Target Audience
The course is intended for PhD students of the Scuola Normale Superiore and the EELISA Alliance.
How to Participate
Lessons will be held in two formats:
- In-person: For Pisa-based PhD students (Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Science) at the venues indicated in the program, such as Palazzo della Carovana.
- Online: For students based in Florence (Faculty of Political and Social Sciences), students on authorized mobility abroad, and EELISA Alliance students.
