The Tuscany Region, within the framework of the GiovaniSì initiative, has reopened the call “Business Creation: Grants, Interest Subsidies and Guarantees”, a funding scheme designed to support the establishment and growth of new businesses across the region.
The funding opportunity is aimed at:
- micro and small enterprises operating in the manufacturing and service sectors;
- businesses established by young people;
- women-led businesses;
- businesses established by recipients of social welfare;
- businesses that have been operating for no more than 24 months or are in the process of being established.
The scheme provides a package of financial support measures, including:
- non-repayable grants (subsidies);
- interest rate subsidies;
- guarantees to facilitate access to credit.
Eligible expenses include investments necessary for the start-up and development of the business, such as equipment, tangible assets, services, and other intangible investments that contribute to business growth.
Following a temporary suspension, the call was reopened on 11 May and is currently active. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis and may be submitted until the available funds are exhausted; therefore, no fixed application deadline has been set.
This initiative represents an interesting opportunity for researchers, young entrepreneurs, and aspiring founders who wish to transform an innovative idea into a concrete business venture.
